Eric's Auto Lab

Fantastic service, especially from Sarah! They saved me a considerable amount compared with the Volvo dealership’s quote for a door handle repair—something several other shops had told me could only be handled by the dealer. They even arranged Ubers to and from work, making the whole process incredibly convenient. Service was fast and efficient, and most importantly, the repair was perfect. They even checked in with me the next day to make sure everything was working well, which I really appreciated. This will absolutely be my first stop for any future Volvo repairs. Highly recommend

I was on my way to a Cubs game with my son coming from out of town and had a breakdown with a major issue. Eric’s Auto Lab got us in same day, fixed the issue that several mechanics before were stumped on and we made it to the game! Car has been driving perfectly ever since! Thank you to the team!!

I would give Eric ten stars if I could. My family and I found ourselves in a nightmare situation: our wheel bearing failed in Chicago traffic, halfway through a cross country road trip with two kids and a dog. A frantic Google led me to Eric. I called him and, unlike every other mechanic we reached out to, he took our emergency seriously, and assured us he'd look at our car right away when we got to him. True to his word, he had our car up on the lift within 15 minutes of our arrival, and brought us over to show us the (sadly very catastrophic and obvious) failure of our wheel bearing, and the other systems it had taken out with it. He gave us an itemized clear estimate, which identified a part he wasn't sure we'd need, and clearly laid out our best and worst case scenarios. His costs and timing were exactly as advertised. Thankfully we did not require the extra part, and he was honest about that. Eric was kind and friendly, got us the information we needed when we needed it (making extra phone calls to give us a clear timeline), and let all of us (including our dog!) hang out in his very nice clean waiting room. He had sodas, and a TV, so the kiddos were happy, and we were back

Eric and his team at Eric’s Auto Lab did an excellent job fixing the transmission in my 2000 Suburban, along with the brakes, rear main seal, and a few wiring issues. They made the entire process extremely easy and kept me updated every step of the way. One thing I really appreciated was how they use an online system that simplifies everything, from reviewing the invoice to seeing what work was being done. It made the whole process clear, organized, and easy to follow. They also caught a few additional issues while they had the truck and took care of those too, which gave us a lot of extra peace of mind with a family road trip coming up. It’s hard to find a shop that communicates well, does quality work, and actually makes you feel confident in the repair, but they did exactly that. I highly recommend Eric’s Auto Lab for any automotive repairs or maintenance. I’ll definitely be going back.

I had a great experience at Eric’s Auto Lab. I brought in HEL stainless steel brake lines, and they installed them along with a full brake fluid flush and oil change. The work was done professionally, and they took the time to explain everything clearly. The staff was friendly, the pricing was fair, and the job was completed in a timely manner. My brakes feel much better now, and the car is running great. I definitely trust their work and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality service.
